Delegate Fast moved to amend the bill on page one, section 16-1-9, lines seven through eight, by striking “: Provided, That the customer shall have the freedom to choose any brand that meets the specifications”.

AND

            On page two, line forty after the word “commissioner” by adding “or his or her designee”.

AND

            On page three, line forty-one, after the word “her” by striking the word “agent” and inserting the word “designee”.

AND

            On page three, line forty-six, after the word “code.” and inserting: “And provided further, That the customer shall have the freedom to choose the brand of any required backflow prevention assembly that otherwise meets the required specifications of the commissioner or his or her designee.”
